Dimensions

IL or the Inlet Level dimensions in the station are a determining factor when choosing your pumping station for inground installation outside the building.

Depth of Inlet Level (IL) Effluent type Recommended pumping station Our advice
900 mm Raw waste water and sewage Star 900
Pumping station specifi cally adapted to public areas
400 or 900 mm Treated or raw waste water Star 900
Large choice of pumps for 2 possible ILs

The operating principle

1 Pump operating principle

Normal operating cycle: when the water rises in the tank and reaches level 2, the fl oat switch activates the pump. When the level drops to level 1, the control box stops the pump. If level 3 is reached, the (optional) alarm fl oat activates a visual and sound signal that warns of an overfl ow risk.

2 Pump operating principle

The piezometric probe system works by measuring pressure. It is reliable and accurate. The interface on the front panel displays the station’s operating status.
Normal operating cycle: water rises in the tank and reaches level 2: the pressure sensor switches on one of the 2 pumps. The level then drops to level 1: the control box stops the pump. During the next cycle, the other pump is switched on: in this case, operation alternates.
In the event of a pump failure, the operational pump is systematically switched to level 2.
In an overflow situation, the effluent rises in the tank and reaches level 2: the pressure sensor switches on one of the two pumps. The level continues to rise and reaches level 3: the second pump is then switched on; in this case, the 2 pumps operate simultaneously.
If level 4 is reached, the alarm float switches on the 2 pumps and an audible and visual signal warns of the risk of overflow. The 2 pumps are then stopped by the alarm float.
