The starch interceptor also works on the decantation principle: as the various types of starch have a different density, matter decants over the whole surface.
The starch-containing water arrives in the interceptor through inlet neck (1). The effluent is immediately sprayed by nozzle (2). One characteristic of starch is that it produces foam, which has to be broken down.
The spray is triggered by a solenoid linked to the peeling machine. |
